Steve Shelley said of the blacked-out pictures on some versions of the release: "The [Richard] Avedon photo [of the girl in overalls] is blacked out because Avedon threatened to sue. The Disney photo was blacked out by confused or paranoid SST workers." Some pressings have the pictures blacked out on the original artwork, but there were still a few unaltered copies released as recently as 1990. Blacked-out and original versions of the CD exist. The Blast First! CD comes with the picture of the girl blacked out and the Disney card intact. The AuGoGo and Flying Nun albums are unaltered and come in a gatefold sleeve.
