Click here for news archive. Blindfold November 30, 2008 New Thurston cassette from Destructive Industries: "Legends live and are reborn. Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore's most encompassing and introverted work to date. Fetishistic stylings of ventured wanderings, plodding black clouds and immeasurable scars of circumstance, this is a work which demands listening while breathing new life into an already saturated scene scenario. Eyes blinded at the fold, water clinging to flesh, left open for the taking. Click of the blinking lense reaps voyeuristic tinges gasping for the first touch and everlasting sexual peak that never ends. This is a very proud moment for Destructive Industries. A work that meshes with not only the artist's intuitive infrastructure, but also the blending of fan and artist in a wonderfully cohesive understanding. Limited to 200 copies."

Sonic Youth, initially comprising of guitarist /
vocalists Thurston
Moore and Lee
Ranaldo, guitarist / bassist / vocalist Kim
Gordon and drummer Richard Edson, were formed in New York City in 1981. A product
of the No-Wave music scene of the late 1970s, the group had their roots in abrasive,
experimental music, with Moore and Ranaldo having previously worked with the
experimental composer Glenn Branca. The band were joined in 1985 by drummer Steve
Shelley, and have now recorded 14 albums together, as well as many side and solo
projects. Their work has been consistently challenging and innovative, and they
are widely regarded as one of the most intriguing and influential bands of their
time.
