On October 5, Artemis Records will release a live performance from 1994 of Allen Ginsberg's WICHITA VORTEX SUTRA. The performance features Ginsberg, Lee Ranaldo, Steve Shelley, Lenny Kaye (Patti Smith), Philip Glass, Marc Ribot, Arto Lindsay, Michael Blair (Elvis Costello, Tom Waits), Christian Marclay, David Mansfield (Bob Dylan), Stephan Smith, and Elliot Sharp. Lee has a new book available: 'Lengths & Breaths' from Water Row Books. 'Lengths & Breaths' is a new collection of poems, lyrical memoirs, road visions and more, illustrated with photographs by Cynthia Connolly. Text of Light, the improvising ensemble whose rotating cast includes Lee Ranaldo, Alan Licht, Christian Marclay, DJ Olive, William Hooker, and Ulrich Krieger has a full length CD available on the Starlight Furniture Co. label. The three tracks on this CD come from live performances at New York City clubs Tonic and the Knitting Factory, as well as Anthology Film Archives in NYC. Lee and Jim also have an recent trio release with Carlos Gifonni on Antiopic Records. The 3" CD was recorded 31 August 2003 at North Six, Brooklyn, USA. Kim currently has an art show in conjunction with Lizzi Bougatsos at Reena Spaulings Fine Art, 371 Grand Street in NYC. The show runs from September 17 to October 15, 2004. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday, noon to 6pm. Thurston appears on Nancy Sinatra's new comeback album. The track is called "Momma's Boy".

Gordon and drummer Richard Edson, were formed in New York City in 1981. A product
of the No-Wave music scene of the late 1970s, the group had their roots in abrasive,
experimental music, with Moore and Ranaldo having previously worked with the
experimental composer Glenn Branca. The band were joined in 1985 by drummer Steve
Shelley, and have now recorded 14 albums together, as well as many side and solo
projects. Their work has been consistently challenging and innovative, and they
are widely regarded as one of the most intriguing and influential bands of their
time.
